Saturday's Powerball jackpot rises to $526,000,000; One player matched the first five numbers

The jackpot in the Powerball multi-state lottery game has been increased to $526,000,000. The lump-sum cash payout will be $$233.5 million. The prize amount was rolled over because nobody hit all five white ball numbers plus the Powerball number in Wednesday's $498,000,000 drawing. The next Powerball lottery drawing is Saturday night. The numbers from Wednesday night, July 15th, 2026 were 02-07-18-29-38 and Powerball number was 16. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 32 draws since Monday, May 4th, 2026.
While there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was a sole ticket that matched all 5 lotto numbers and won the 2nd prize. The one second prize ticket(s) from LA matched all 5 white ball numbers and also bought Power Play, which doubled the prize to 2 million dollar cash win!
Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 16 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 5 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
There were 45,268 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. A single ticket sold in New York matched 4 white ball numbers in addition to the Powerball with Power Play option purchased. The lucky ticket holder will collect $40,000. 137 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will receive $100 each. 19 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will collect $200 each.
With nine different ways to win, the Wednesday night's drawing generated 540,584 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to purchase the Power Play option, which increases the original winnings but not jackpot. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot starts at $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments in 29 years. Winners can choose one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
