Mega Millions jackpot moves to $458,000,000 Friday, February 27th, 2026; Two second prize tickets sold

There has been another carry over in the grand prize for the multistate Mega Millions lottery - to $458,000,000. The cash value will be a projected $$212.4 million. The jackpot grew since no one hit all five white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number from Tuesday night's $438,000,000 drawing. The numbers from Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 drawing were 12, 39, 43, 49, 55 and the Mega Ball was 23, Megaplier was . The Mega Millions grand prize has been rolling over for 96 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $344 million top prize.
While there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were two lucky winners correctly matched all 5 numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The two second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in won $1,000,000 cash each.
Additional prizes won Tuesday night included 10 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other prizes won Tuesday evening included 172 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 453 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $200.
With 9 ways to win, there were a total of 567,826 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 drawing.
Mega Millions game is played in 43 states and Washington DC. Around 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back for the players in prizes. Approximately 15% goes to retailer commissions and lottery operation expenses. Roughly 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the participating lottery states. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can choose one-time lump-sum cash payout instead.
