The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing soars to $457,000,000

The Powerball multi-state lottery jackpot moved to $457,000,000 (cash value $$205 million) Saturday night when there were no top prize winners in the $434,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night, July 8th, 2026 were 12, 29, 37, 43, 55 with Power Ball 18. The Powerball jackpot has been growing for 29 draws since Monday, May 4th, 2026. The last jackpot was won by 2 tickets sold in FL and TX, matched all six numbers and shared a 20,000,000 top prize.
Although the jackpot was not hit Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was a sole lucky winner correctly matched the first 5 numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) sold in TX will collect $1,000,000 cash.
In addition, 14 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 4 additional players not just matched 4+1, but in addition chose the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 281 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 78 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, but also purchased the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 639 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 197 additional tickets at this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
With 9 different prize levels, there were a total of 511,306 tickets across the nation won a total of $0 prizes in the Wednesday, July 8th, 2026 drawing.
Powerball game can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. The overall odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The odds of matching all six Powerball numbers are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball grand prize is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments. Winners may select one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
