Powerball jackpot builds to $1,700,000,000 Saturday night; Fifteen second prize tickets sold

The multi-state Powerball game jackpot has moved to $1,700,000,000 dollars after there was no jackpot winner in Wednesday's drawing. The cash value will be a projected $$770.3 million up for grab. The winning numbers from Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025 drawing were 03, 16, 29, 61, 69 with Power Ball number 22. No one won the Powerball jackpot in the past 41 draws since Monday, June 2nd, 2025. One lucky player from CA won the 207,000,000 grand prize in Saturday, May 31st, 2025 drawing.
Although there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were fifteen lucky winners matched the first 5 numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The 11 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in CA(2), CO(1), FL(1), GA(2), IL(1), MD(1), MN(1), OH(1) and PA(1) will collect 1 million dollar cash. The other 4 second prize winner(s) from MI(1), OR(1), TX(1) and WY(1) also bought Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2 million cash win!
Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 117 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 36 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
There were 430,344 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. Two tickets sold in New York matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball. These lucky ticket holders will collect $10,000 cash each. Two tickets sold in New York matched 4 lotto numbers in addition to the Powerball with Power Play option purchased. These lucky ticket holders will receive $40,000 cash each. There were 896 lucky New York players won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. 93 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will receive $200 each.
With 9 different ways to win, there were a total of 6,328,933 tickets across U.S. won a total of $0 prizes in the Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025 drawing.
America's favorite Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play option, which increases the prizes but not jackpot. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated payments in 29 years. Winners can choose one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
