Saturday's Powerball jackpot breaks to $129 million; 2 players matched the first 5 numbers

The jackpot in the multi-state Powerball lottery drawing rolled up to $129 million for the Saturday drawing. The cash option stands at $89.6 million. No ticket sold for Wednesday's $116 million drawing matched 5 lotto numbers plus the Powerball number. The numbers drawn Wednesday night, April 28th, 2021 were 16-18-35-39-53 with Power Ball number 21. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 126 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a $70.00 million top prize.
While there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with big money. There were 2 second prize winning tickets from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, matching the first 5 numbers but not the Powerball number. The two second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in California(1) and New Jersey(1) won $1 million cash.
In addition, 13 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 4 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other prizes won Wednesday night included 298 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 81 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! 634 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 200 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
There were 40,463 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were two lucky New Yorkers matched 4 lotto numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 84 lucky New York winners won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. 10 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will collect $200 each.
With nine prize tiers, the Wednesday night's drawing created 519,795 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
