No jackpot ticket sold last night. Big Mega Millions jackpot up for grabs Tuesday night

Tuesday's Mega Millions lottery grand prize grew to $358,000,000, because nobody hit all 6 winning numbers drawn Friday night. The cash value for Tuesday will be a projected $$164.5 million up for grab. Friday's $336,000,000 is the total grand prize amount - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annual installments. The numbers drawn Friday night, September 5th, 2025 were 06-14-36-58-62 and the Mega Ball was 24, Megaplier was . No one won the Mega Millions grand prize in the past 47 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $344 million top prize.
While the jackpot was not hit Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were a total of 17 third prize lucky winners. These included 17 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
In addition, 226 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. Other prizes won included 678 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $200.
With nine different ways to win, there were a total of 916,036 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, September 5th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players through prizes. Around 15% is used to as retailer commissions and lottery operating costs. Roughly 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the member states. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. To play, select 5 numbers from a set of 70 then choose a Mega Ball number from a set of 25. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one time lump-sum cash payout instead.
