The grand prize in America's favorite Mega Millions lottery game continues to go up exciting players all across the country. Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Friday's drawing the grand prize will climb to $296,000,000! The cash value will be $$128.6 million up for grab. The numbers from Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 drawing were 10-26-34-56-64 with Mega Ball number 06 and Megaplier . There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 120 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.One lucky player from IL won the $344 million top prize in Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 drawing.
Although the grand prize was not hit Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were a total of 7 third prize winners. Among them, 7 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Other prizes won Tuesday night included 136 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. There were 428 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With 9 ways to win, there were 501,934 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. It holds the record biggest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. On average, 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prizes. About 15% is used to as retailer commissions and lottery operation expenses. About 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the participating states. Mega Millions lottery uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) system to randomly pick winning numbers. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can select one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
