Mega Millions jackpot increases to $215,000,000; 1 player matched the first 5 numbers

With no winner in the latest draw, the Mega Millions lottery grand prize is going to be worth $215,000,000 (cash value $$95.2 million) the next time the multistate lottery is drawn on Friday. The amount rolled over because no player hit all six numbers to win the $195,000,000 jackpot Tuesday night. The numbers from Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 drawing were 12-22-50-51-55 and the Mega Ball was 10, Megaplier was . Nobody won the Mega Millions jackpot in the past 116 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $344 million top prize.
Although there was no grand prize winner Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There was only one lucky winner matched the first 5 lotto numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) sold in , each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Also, 9 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. In addition, 150 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. 377 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With nine prize tiers, there were 485,118 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Mega Millions uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) system from which winning numbers are chosen. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one time lump sum cash payout instead.
