Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot moves to $80,000,000; One second prize ticket sold

The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery drawing moved to $80,000,000 for the Tuesday drawing. The cash option will be a projected $$35.6 million. None of the tickets sold for Friday's $70,000,000 drawing matched 5 white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number. The numbers from Friday, March 27th, 2026 drawing were 13, 27, 28, 41, 62 with Mega Ball number 16 and Megaplier x. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 105 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.A single lucky player from IL walked away with $344 million jackpot in Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 drawing.
While there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There was a single lucky player that matched the first 5 numbers and won the second prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in won a quarter million dollar cash each.
Also, 6 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. In addition, 93 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. Other prizes won included 260 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $200.
With nine prize levels, there were a total of 308,200 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, March 27th, 2026 drawing.
Mega Millions is played in 43 states and Washington DC. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Mega Millions lottery uses a 5/70+1/25 matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. The chances of winning any prizes is about 1 to 14. The odds of matching 6 Mega Millions numbers are about 1 in 302 million. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can select one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
