Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $80,000,000; One second prize ticket sold

The Mega Millions jackpot increased since no player hit all 5 lotto numbers plus the Mega Ball number from Friday night's $70,000,000 drawing. The next jackpot jumped to $80,000,000 for Tuesday night's drawing. The cash option stands at $$35.6 million up for grab. The winning numbers from Friday, March 27th, 2026 drawing were 13, 27, 28, 41, 62 with Mega Ball 16 and Megaplier X.
While there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There was a single lucky player that correctly matched all 5 white ball numbers and won the second prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) bought in won $1,000,000 cash each.
Other prizes won Friday evening included 6 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000. In addition, 93 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. Other prizes won included 260 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $200.
With 9 different prize tiers, there were 308,200 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, March 27th, 2026 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. It holds the record largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. To play, pick 5 numbers from a set of 70 and choose 1 Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times except grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners may choose one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
