Friday's Mega Millions jackpot breaks to $70,000,000; Two second prize tickets sold

With no winner in the latest drawing, the Mega Millions grand prize will be worth an estimated $70,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$31.5 million) the next time the multistate lottery is played on Friday. The amount rolled over since no player matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number to win the $60,000,000 grand prize Tuesday night. The winning numbers from Tuesday night, March 24th, 2026 were 04, 13, 52, 53, 69 with Mega Ball number 10 and Megaplier .
Though the jackpot was not awarded Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were two lucky tickets correctly matched all 5 white ball numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The two second prize winning ticket(s) sold in won $1,000,000 cash each.
Other major winners Tuesday night included 3 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other prizes won Tuesday evening included 99 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $500. There were 256 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine prize tiers, there were 229,363 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, March 24th, 2026 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. It holds the record largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. About 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prize winnings. Around 15% is used to as commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. Around 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating states. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the winnings 2 to 5 times except jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize starts at $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners can select one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
