Saturday's Mega Millions jackpot leaps to $20 million; One second prize ticket sold

There was no ticket sold with all 6 winning numbers in the latest multi-state Mega Millions game draw, and the estimated jackpot for Saturday's drawing will go to $20 million, lottery officials announced. The cash value will be $13.8 million. The winning numbers from Friday night, June 11th, 2021 were 04, 43, 56, 63, 68 with Mega Ball number 13 and Megaplier x4.

Even though there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There was only one lucky ticket matched all five lotto numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) sold in will collect a quarter million dollar cash each.

Also, 7 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Also, 178 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. 584 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.

There were 88,690 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 44345 grand prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.

With 9 prize tiers, there were a total of 1,056,790 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, June 11th, 2021 drawing.

Mega Millions is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. sold in 44 participating states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prizes. Around 15% is used to as retailer commissions and lottery operation expenses. Roughly 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the participating lottery states. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times except grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners may choose one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
