Mega Millions jackpot builds to $42 million Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021; 1 second prize ticket sold

The jackpot in America's favorite Mega Millions lottery is on the move. Because nobody correctly matched all 5 lotto numbers and the Mega Millions number in Friday's drawing, the jackpot will jump to $42 million! The cash option will be an estimated $31 million. The winning numbers drawn Friday night, January 29th, 2021 were 04, 44, 58, 59, 70 with Mega Ball number 03 and Megaplier X3. The Mega Millions grand prize has been rolling over for 760 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.One lucky winner from Maryland won the $189 million grand prize in Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 drawing.
Though the grand prize was not awarded Friday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. There was only one second prize winning ticket from Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, matching the first 5 white ball numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The 1 lucky ticket(s) bought in , each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Also, 11 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Additional winners Friday night included 275 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 815 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $200.
There were 102,906 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 51453 top prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York.
With 9 different ways to win, there were 1,388,454 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, January 29th, 2021 drawing.
