Mega Millions jackpot breaks to $94,000,000 Friday; One ticket won the second prize

The grand prize in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery drawing went to $94,000,000 for the Friday drawing. The lump-sum cash payout will be an estimated $$42.3 million up for grab. No ticket sold for Tuesday's $77,000,000 drawing matched five white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number. The winning numbers from Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 drawing were 14-24-31-53-54 and the Mega Ball was 01, Megaplier was 3.
Even though the jackpot was not awarded Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There was only one lucky player that correctly matched all five numbers and won the second prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) sold in NY won $1,000,000 cash each.
Additional prizes won Tuesday evening included 5 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other prizes won Tuesday night included 200 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. 465 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
There were 71,678 Mega Millions winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 35839 grand prize winning tickets sold in the state of New York. A ticket sold in New York matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball. The lucky ticket holder will receive $1,000,000 cash.
With nine prize levels, there were a total of 767,312 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions is played in 43 states and Washington DC. It holds the record largest jackpot of $656 million in U.S. lottery history. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners may select one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
