Mega Millions jackpot breaks to $54 million; One second prize ticket sold

There were no tickets sold hit all five lotto numbers plus the Mega Ball number in the last multi-state Mega Millions game draw, and the estimated jackpot for Friday's drawing will go to $54 million, lottery officials announced. The cash option will be an estimated $39.7 million. The numbers from Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021 drawing were 13-37-38-40-67 with Mega Ball 10 and Megaplier X2. The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing for 761 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.A single lucky winner from Maryland walked away with $189 million jackpot in Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 drawing.
Though there was no grand prize winner Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There was a sole 2nd prize winner from Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing, matching all five lotto numbers except the Mega Ball number. The one lucky ticket(s) purchased in , each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Tuesday night included 15 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $10,000. There were 794 tickets that correctly matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.

Mega Millions is played in 43 states and Washington DC. Mega Millions game uses a 5/70+1/25 matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times except jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize is 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners can choose one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
