No one won the jackpot. Massive Mega Millions jackpot up for grabs Tuesday night

The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery drawing built to $619,000,000 for the Tuesday drawing. The cash option stands at $$297.7 million. No ticket sold for Friday's $579,000,000 drawing matched 5 lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number. The winning numbers from Friday, December 6th, 2024 drawing were 16, 21, 33, 39, 45 and the Mega Ball was 24, Megaplier was 2. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 25 draws since Friday, September 13th, 2024.A single lucky player from TX walked away with $800 million top prize in Tuesday, September 10th, 2024 drawing.
Though the grand prize was not awarded Friday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. A total of 22 lucky winners won the 3rd prize. These included 22 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Additional prizes won Friday evening included 579 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. 1301 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With 9 prize levels, there were a total of 2,007,652 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, December 6th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game offered in 44 participating states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prizes. Around 15% goes to retailer commissions and lottery operation expenses. Roughly 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. The overall odds of winning is about 1 to 14. The odds of winning Mega Millions jackpot are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners may select one lump sum cash payout option instead.
