Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $60,000,000; One second prize ticket sold

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has been pumped up to a projected $60,000,000 (cash value $$27.4 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Tuesday night. The grand prize amount has been rolled over since nobody matched all six winning numbers to take the $50,000,000 grand prize Friday night. The numbers from Friday, December 5th, 2025 drawing were 34, 38, 42, 44, 69 with Mega Ball 08 and Megaplier x. No one won the Mega Millions jackpot in the past 73 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.One lucky player from IL won the $344 million top prize in Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 drawing.
Though there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There was a sole 2nd prize winner from Friday night's drawing, matching the first 5 numbers except the Mega Ball number. The one lucky ticket(s) purchased in , each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Friday evening included 2 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. In addition, 101 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 311 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine ways to win, there were a total of 403,164 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, December 5th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game sold in 44 member states as a shared jackpot game. It holds the record highest jackpot in North American lottery history. Mega Millions drawings occur 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Each play costs $1.
