No one matched all six numbers. Mega Millions jackpot rises to $302,000,000

The jackpot in the Mega Millions multistate lottery game keeps rising up and is going to be up to $302,000,000 for the upcoming drawing on Tuesday. The lump-sum cash payout stands at $$136 million. The amount was rolled over because nobody hit all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number to win the $277,000,000 grand prize Friday night. The winning numbers drawn Friday night, August 29th, 2025 were 13, 31, 32, 44, 45 with Mega Ball number 21 and Megaplier .

While the jackpot was not hit Friday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There were a total of 8 3rd prize lucky winning tickets. These included 8 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.

Additional winners Friday evening included 199 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 523 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $200.

With 9 prize levels, there were a total of 658,036 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, August 29th, 2025 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. It holds the record highest jackpot of $656 million in North American lottery history. About 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players through prize winnings. Around 15% is used to as retailer commissions and lottery operation expenses. Around 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating states. Mega Millions drawings occur 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The overall chances of winning is about 1 to 14. The odds of matching all six Mega Millions numbers are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot is 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners may choose one time lump sum cash payout instead.
