No jackpot ticket sold last night. Mega Millions jackpot goes to $234,000,000

Without a jackpot winner in the last drawing, the Mega Millions multistate lottery game has carried over its grand prize to $234,000,000 for Friday night's drawing. The cash value stands at $$105.1 million. Nobody matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number to win the $216,000,000 grand prize Tuesday. The next Mega Millions lottery drawing will be at 10:59 PM Friday night. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, August 19th, 2025 were 10, 19, 24, 49, 68 with Mega Ball 10 and Megaplier X. No one won the Mega Millions jackpot in the past 42 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $344 million top prize.
Although there was no grand prize winner Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. A total of 6 lucky winners won the third prize. These included 6 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Also, 133 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. 433 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With 9 different ways to win, there were 487,964 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Tuesday, August 19th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. It holds the record highest jackpot of $656 million in United States lottery history. Around 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players in prizes. Roughly 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operation expenses. Roughly 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the member states. Mega Millions lottery uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) system from which winning numbers are chosen. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
