The jackpot for Friday's Mega Millions drawing skyrockets to $405,000,000

The multi-state Mega Millions lottery jackpot has moved to $405,000,000 dollars after there was no jackpot winner in Tuesday's drawing. The cash option will be $$197.7 million. The numbers from Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 drawing were 23, 29, 36, 61, 70 and the Mega Ball was 22, Megaplier was 4. The Mega Millions grand prize has been rolling over for eighteen draws since Friday, June 7th, 2024.A single lucky winner from IL won the $560 million top prize in Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 drawing.
Even though there was no grand prize winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There was a single second prize winning ticket from Tuesday night's drawing, matching the first 5 numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The 1 lucky ticket(s) bought in OH, each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional major winners Tuesday night included 12 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. In addition, 327 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 859 tickets that matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine ways to win, there were 1,428,590 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions game is played in 43 states and D.C. It holds the record highest jackpot of $656 million in United States lottery history. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one-time lump-sum cash payout instead.
