Mega Millions jackpot rises to $112,000,000 Friday, April 18th, 2025; 2 players matched the first five numbers

There has been another roll-over in the grand prize for the multistate Mega Millions game - to $112,000,000. The cash option will be $$49.3 million. The grand prize grew since nobody hit all 6 winning numbers from Tuesday night's $96,000,000 drawing. The winning numbers from Tuesday night, April 15th, 2025 were 06, 10, 13, 24, 63 with Mega Ball number 02 and Megaplier . Nobody won the Mega Millions jackpot in the past six draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.A single lucky player from IL walked away with $344 million top prize in Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 drawing.

While there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were 2 tickets that matched all 5 lotto numbers and won the second prize. The 2 lucky ticket(s) sold in , each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.

Also, 9 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Other winners Tuesday night included 200 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 417 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $200.

Mega Millions is played in 43 states and D.C. It holds the record highest jackpot in North American lottery history. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players through prizes. Approximately 15% is used to as retailer commissions and lottery operating costs. About 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the participating states. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Mega Millions uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) system from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay $1 extra to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The odds of winning any prizes is about 1 to 14. The odds of matching 6 Mega Millions numbers are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners can choose one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
