The jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball drawing soars to $1,300,000,000

Wednesday's Powerball lottery grand prize will be worth an estimated $1,300,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$589 million), since nobody hit all 5 lotto numbers plus the Powerball number in Monday night's drawing. The winning numbers from Monday, September 1st, 2025 drawing were 08-23-25-40-53 with Power Ball 05. Nobody won the Powerball grand prize in the past 40 draws since Monday, June 2nd, 2025. One lucky winner from CA walked away with 207,000,000 grand prize in Saturday, May 31st, 2025 drawing.
While there was no jackpot winner Monday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There were twelve lucky players that correctly matched all 5 lotto numbers and won the second prize. The ten second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in CA(1), FL(1), KY(1), MA(1), MI(1), NJ(2), NY(1), PA(1) and VA(1) will collect $1,000,000 cash. The other 2 second prize winner(s) from MT(1) and NC(1) also chose Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2 million cash win!

Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. offered in 44 participating states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Powerball uses a 5/69+1/26 matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2.
