Monday's Powerball jackpot increases to $315,000,000; 1 player won the second prize

The Powerball multi-state lottery grand prize rolled up to $315,000,000 (cash option $$154.9 million) Monday night when there were no top prize winners in the $295,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The winning numbers drawn Saturday night, October 5th, 2024 were 02-12-46-52-65 and Powerball number was 03. Nobody won the Powerball jackpot in the past twenty draws since Wednesday, August 21st, 2024. One lucky player from CA won the 44,000,000 grand prize in Monday, August 19th, 2024 drawing.
Though there was no jackpot winner Saturday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There was a sole lucky ticket matched the first 5 white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) sold in SC will collect $1,000,000 cash.
Additional prizes won Saturday evening included 15 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 4 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! In addition, 330 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 116 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! There were 906 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and also won $100. 228 additional players not just matched 3+1, but also chose the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.
There were 59,165 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. Two tickets sold in New York matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball. These lucky ticket holders will collect $10,000 cash each. There were 96 lucky New York winners won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers.
