The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing soars to $320,000,000

The jackpot in America's favorite Powerball lottery is on the move. Since no player correctly hit all 6 numbers in Wednesday's drawing, the grand prize will go to $320,000,000! The cash value stands at $$150.8 million. The numbers from Wednesday, March 5th, 2025 drawing were 24, 28, 40, 63, 65 with Power Ball 20. The Powerball jackpot has been growing for 20 draws since Monday, January 20th, 2025. One lucky player from OR won the 331,000,000 top prize in Saturday, January 18th, 2025 drawing.
Although the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were a total of 9 3rd prize lucky winning tickets with or without Power Play option. These included 6 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
In addition, 205 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 51 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 460 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 163 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
With nine ways to win, the Wednesday night's drawing created 418,138 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
America's favorite Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Power Play, which multiplies the prizes except grand prize. The overall odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The odds of matching all six Powerball numbers are about 1 in 292 million. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments. Winners can choose one lump sum cash payout option instead.
