Powerball jackpot builds to $131,000,000 Saturday; 1 player matched the first five numbers

Without a big winner in the last drawing, the Powerball multistate lottery game has rolled over the grand prize to $131,000,000 for Saturday night's drawing. The cash option will be $$62.8 million. Nobody hit all 6 numbers to win the $114,000,000 jackpot Wednesday. The next Powerball lottery drawing will be at 10:59 PM Saturday night. The winning numbers from Wednesday night, July 24th, 2024 were 16-42-59-63-68 with Power Ball number 13. Nobody won the Powerball grand prize in the past 9 draws since Saturday, July 6th, 2024. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in OH, matched all six numbers for a 138,000,000 top prize.
Although there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was only one lucky player that correctly matched the first five lotto numbers and won the second prize. The one ticket(s) in GA matched the first five white ball numbers with the Power Play for an incredible $2 million cash win!
Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 2 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. 4 additional players not only matched 4+1, and also chose the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
With nine ways to win, the Wednesday night's drawing produced 380,335 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Power Play, which multiplies the winnings but not grand prize. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments. Winners can select one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
