Wednesday's Powerball jackpot moves to $188,000,000; Three players matched the first five numbers

The jackpot in America's favorite Powerball lottery is on the move. Because no one correctly matched all 5 white ball numbers and the Powerball number in Monday's drawing, the grand prize will grow to $188,000,000! The lump-sum cash payout will be a projected $$90.7 million up for grab. The numbers from Monday, January 29th, 2024 drawing were 39-41-43-49-64 and Powerball number was 04. The Powerball jackpot has been rolling over for 12 draws since Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. One lucky winner from Michigan walked away with 810,000,000 top prize in Monday, January 1st, 2024 drawing.
Though the jackpot was not awarded Monday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There were three lucky tickets matched the first 5 lotto numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The 3 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in California(1), South Carolina(1) and Texas(1) won $1,000,000 cash.
Other prizes won Monday night included 6 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 2 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! In addition, 153 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 47 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! 392 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 137 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
With 9 prize levels, the Monday night's drawing produced 372,417 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball lottery uses a 5/69+1/26 system from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Power Play, which multiplies the winnings except jackpot. The minimum Powerball grand prize starts at $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments in 29 years. Winners can select one lump sum cash payout instead.
