Wednesday's Powerball jackpot moves to $156,000,000; One player matched the first five numbers

The grand prize in the Powerball multistate lottery game keeps moving up and is going to be up to $156,000,000 for the next drawing on Wednesday. The lump-sum cash payout stands at an estimated $$70.5 million. The amount was rolled over since nobody matched all 5 lotto numbers plus the Powerball number to win the $137,000,000 grand prize Monday night. The winning numbers from Monday, January 12th, 2026 drawing were 05, 27, 45, 56, 59 and Powerball number was 04.
Although the jackpot was not awarded Monday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There was a sole lucky ticket correctly matched all five lotto numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize.
