Powerball jackpot breaks to $169,000,000 Wednesday, February 18th, 2026; 1 ticket won the second prize

The Powerball grand prize has been pumped up to $169,000,000 (cash value $$79.2 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Wednesday night. The grand prize amount has been rolled over because no one matched all 6 numbers to take the $154,000,000 jackpot Monday night. The winning numbers from Monday night, February 16th, 2026 were 16, 18, 19, 56, 58 and Powerball was 06. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past eleven draws since Saturday, January 24th, 2026. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in NC, matched all six numbers for a 209,000,000 top prize.
While there was no grand prize winner Monday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was only one lucky ticket matched the first five white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The one lucky ticket(s) purchased in OH, each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional major winners Monday night included 9 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. Other prizes won Monday evening included 144 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 52 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! There were 394 tickets that correctly matched 3 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and also won $100. 138 additional players not only matched 3+1, but also chose the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.
There were 25,060 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. 2 tickets sold in New York matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball. These lucky ticket holders will collect $10,000 cash each. There were 44 lucky New York winners won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. 13 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will collect $200 each.
With nine different ways to win, the Monday night's drawing produced 333,736 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Powerball lottery uses a 5/69 (white balls) + 1/26 (Powerballs) matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play option, which multiplies the prizes except grand prize. The overall odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The odds of matching 6 Powerball numbers are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments. Winners may select one-time lump sum cash payout option instead.
