Powerball jackpot jumps to $930,000,000 Wednesday; One second prize ticket sold

The grand prize in the Powerball multistate lottery game keeps increasing and will be up to an estimated $930,000,000 for the upcoming drawing on Wednesday. The cash option stands at a projected $$429 million. The amount was rolled over since no one hit all 5 lotto numbers and the Powerball number to win the $875,000,000 grand prize Monday night. The winning numbers from Monday, December 8th, 2025 drawing were 08, 32, 52, 56, 64 and Powerball was 23. Nobody won the Powerball grand prize in the past 40 draws since Monday, September 8th, 2025. 2 lucky winners from MO and TX won the jackpot in Saturday, September 6th, 2025 drawing and split 1,800,000,000.
Though the grand prize was not hit Monday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There was a single 2nd prize winning ticket from Monday night's drawing, matching all five white ball numbers but not the Powerball number. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in FL will collect 1 million dollar cash.
Other major winners Monday evening included 24 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 7 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Also, 550 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 159 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 1381 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 378 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
With nine prize levels, there were 1,030,561 tickets across the nation won a total of $0 prizes in the Monday, December 8th, 2025 drawing.
Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. The minimum Powerball grand prize is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments. Winners may choose one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
