One ticket in NY won 20,000,000 Mega Millions jackpot in Tuesday night's drawing

Somebody is celebrating in NY, and for good reason. A single ticket has won the jackpot from the most recent Mega Millions lotto drawing. Lottery officials said the winning ticket from Tuesday night's drawing worth 20,000,000 was sold in NY. The identity of the newest millionaire has not been determined, nor has the location of the ticket purchase. The winning numbers from Tuesday night, April 18th, 2023 were 07-09-15-19-25 with Mega Ball 04 and Megaplier x2. The winning ticket holder will have the option of 30 annuity payments with annual payment in the amount of $769,230.77 for the entire prize amount of 20,000,000, or the one-time cash option of $10.6 million before tax withholding. The winning ticket holder is encouraged to sign the ticket, put it in a safe place and contact lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the chance to select the cash value of the jackpot while claiming the prize. If the winner does not make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
Together with the grand prize won on Tuesday, Mega Millions produced far more pleased winners walked away with large winnings. There were 4 lucky players that correctly matched the first five lotto numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 4 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in CA,IA,MD,OH won $1,000,000 cash each.
Additional prizes won Tuesday evening included 20 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 522 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 1112 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine prize tiers, there were a total of 842,788 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, April 18th, 2023 drawing.
The grand prize of next Mega Millions lottery drawing will be 20,000,000 with the cash option at $10.5 million for Friday, April 21st, 2023.
